The shape of the tent is important. It can be round, it can be a tunnel, it can be a hut, it can be a frame, some of it can even be a mixture of many types. Simple ridge tent, it is very strong and stable, basic dome tent, people added a flexible support pole, created a very useful porch.
Tents with ridges are very strong, from small single tents to large multi person tents, which are easy to set up and still used as shelters. But the disadvantage of the ridge tent is obvious: there is not enough space on the edge of the tent, and the column is always in the middle of the entrance, blocking the door. In order to solve this problem, "a" frame is used instead of monopole. There is a pole on each side of the entrance, but this increases the weight of the tent.
The dome basically bends a bendable support rod into a semicircle, and the two ends are fixed on the cloth belt or belt passing through the bottom of the tent, which is usually part of the moisture-proof cloth. Two flexible support rods cross in the middle to form a square dome, three of which are hexagonal. In this way, the edge of the tent will be more vertical, so the height space will be better. The stability of a small tent is good, but the larger the tent, the worse the stability.
Since the dome tent does not necessarily make full use of space, people line up to build tunnel tents in a different way, using flexible supports. As the number of yurts and walkway tents increased, tent designers began to add more rooms to the original design. The trend began in France, where the center of a huge tent was a living area with a room on each side as a sleeping hut. The two bedrooms are opposite, so the French call them "face-to-face" tents. Interestingly, the "face-to-face" tent may be a yurt or a cross street tent, but in fact, the original "face-to-face" tent was a square frame tent.
Designers have also come up with more and more complex designs and continue to turn their favorite little tents into larger and larger family tents. Different companies always pay close attention to the dynamics of their competitors. Usually, the new shapes that appear in the first year will be popular in the second year, and the size will increase.
